My name is Craig Durling and, in addition to being a first responder (now retired) and avid traveler, I’m a freelance photographer/photojournalist based in Los Angeles, California.  I’ve been privileged enough to have my work published worldwide in newsprint, magazines, advertisements, educational materials and on network television.  I’ve spent over 30 years on the fire lines of Southern California documenting the heroic efforts of emergency workers in their environment. While I typically shoot action-oriented subjects, I especially enjoy wildlife, nature and travel photography. Observing and sharing the lives of earth’s amazing creatures and vistas “in situ” is an honor and a privilege I wouldn’t give up for anything.
